COLUMBUS, Ohio – The City of Powell and The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center are celebrating the beginning of construction on a new outpatient care facility.

“Powell is another step in our plan to offer convenient access to our comprehensive health services. Whether it’s specialty care, diagnostic testing, primary care or medical treatments, it’s important that residents can get that high-quality care close to work and home,” said Dan Like, chief administrative officer of ambulatory services at Ohio State Wexner Medical Center. “We’re proud to work with the City of Powell to meet the unique needs of residents here and in the surrounding communities.”

“This is one of the City’s largest economic development projects to date, and we’re delighted it’s now underway. Ohio State’s investment in Powell has already started to attract more businesses to the area and will improve our growing community’s health and wellness now and well in the future,” said City Manager Andrew D. White.
Outpatient Care Powell will be located on 30 acres at the northeast corner of Home Road and Sawmill Parkway, across from Olentangy Liberty High School, at 7171 Sawmill Parkway. The 207,000 square foot facility is expected to open in August 2026.
