Ohio State Hosts Special Performance to Fight Violence Against Women, Girls

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Experts from The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology are hosting an event created to heighten awareness about violence against women and girls.

Eve Ensler’s “The Vagina Monologues” will be presented at 7 p.m. Feb. 23-25, in the Dorothy M. Davis Heart and Lung Research Institute auditorium at 473 W. 12th Ave.

Tickets are $10 in advance at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2793338, or can be purchased at the door for $15 – cash only.

Members of the media are invited to attend the presentations.

Proceeds will benefit the Sexual Assault Response Network of Central Ohio (SARNCO), a sexual violence intervention and prevention program serving Franklin County, which strives to empower survivors and co-survivors of sexual and relationship violence.

Medical students from Ohio State’s College of Medicine, as well as undergraduate students, nurses, resident and attending physicians, and community members will participate in the performances.
