COLUMBUS, Ohio – On Sunday, Jan. 11, the public is invited to get a firsthand look inside The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s new University Hospital, which will open for patient care in February.Located at 520 W. 10th Ave., the new hospital expands access to world-class health care services, some of which are only found regionally at Ohio State. The new hospital offers exceptional care across several advanced services including maternal and infant care, surgery, neurology, intensive and critical care, organ transplant, interventional radiology and more. The facility will support interdisciplinary clinical research and team-based education.
The public is invited to tour the new University Hospital at a Community Open House on Sunday, Jan. 11 from 1 to 4 p.m. The last tour will begin at 3:30 p.m. Parking is available in the Wexner Medical Center Garage at 527 W. 10th Ave. Attendees will go through weapons detection screening and are asked to limit bags and personal belongings to help make entry smoother. No outside food or drinks are permitted.
On Monday, Jan. 12 at 2:30 p.m., media are invited to cover the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the new University Hospital. This event is by invitation only and not open to the public.
