Experience and Interests
Wendy’s experience includes team-approached treatment with both stroke and brain injury in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings. She has focused the last 10 years on evaluation, implementation and treatment of overuse injury and skin breakdown for clients using adaptive equipment. She has certifications as an Assistive Technology Practitioner and Seating and Mobility Specialist. Wendy shares her time with the outpatient rehab center, treating both orthopedic and neurologic clients, and performing neuromuscular disease research. She presents on seating and mobility for Ohio State’s continuum from acute rehab to outpatient, with the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and the community. She regularly mentors Doctorate of Physical Therapy practicum students in the Assistive Technology Center in seating and positioning principles. Wendy presented at the International Seating Symposium from 2013 through 2017.
