Experience and Interests
In addition to treating sports medicine patients and athletes at our Ohio State campus location, Dr. DeWitt holds an appointment as an Assistant Clinical Professor and Director of Residencies in the Division of Physical Therapy at Ohio State, with a focus on sports and orthopedic physical therapy.
John is board certified in sports physical therapy and has been practicing since 1997 treating athletes of all levels of competition. He spent two years as a seasonal assistant athletic trainer with the New England Patriots and has worked with the United States Olympic Committee.
Outside of his clinical responsibilities, he sits on several national boards for post-professional physical therapy education within the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). He is the 2008 recipient of the OPTA’s, “Physical Therapist of the Year” and the 2009 APTA Sports Section’s “New Horizon” award winner.
