Experience and Interests

During his time at Kent State University, Matt gained experience in the world of sports medicine by working closely with Kent State’s Football, Baseball and Women’s basketball teams. Matt gained further experience as an athletic trainer in collegiate athletics working with both Gannon and Mercyhurst University. Outside of collegiate athletics, Matt spent the 2020 NFL season with the Cleveland Browns as a seasonal physical therapy/athletic training intern.

Matt joins The Ohio States Sports Medicine team with experience working in a variety of sports medicine settings. While Matt has largely worked around football at the professional and collegiate setting, he is passionate about helping all populations to achieve a greater quality of life through movement and lifestyle modification. Matt is passionate about an approach to rehabilitation that focuses on combining functional movements and traditional strength & conditioning principles, to help all patients of any age or athletic profile move to the best of their abilities.
