Experience and Interests

Mitch is a board certified specialist in Sports Physical Therapy, a certified strength and conditioning specialist, and a USA Weightlifting level 1 sports performance coach. He has a passion for strength and conditioning and sports performance and is looking to grow these areas in the field of Physical Therapy. Mitch gained experience in sports physical therapy with the NHL's Carolina Hurricanes from 2014-2016 and with Team USA at the 2015 World University Games. He has also been a strength coach at the University of Dayton, Bo Jackson's Elite Sports and Donskov Strength and Conditioning in Columbus. Mitch is currently a network PT for United States Soccer and travels with their youth and national teams.

At Ohio State, Mitch has experience working with soccer, baseball, and football players from the middle school to professional level. He is a member of the Soccer Performance Team, Barbell Athlete Performance Team, Shoulder Outcome Team, and Knee Outcome Team. He specializes in performance therapy and runs the Bridge 2 Performance program for athletes returning to high level performance after completing rehabilitation. He has a clinical interest in rehabilitation of the overhead athlete and return to sport following ACL reconstruction. He is also certified in dry needling, pitching analysis, FIFA medical diploma, blood flow restriction therapy, weight lifting analysis, and running gait analysis. He currently practices at Bo Jackson's Elite Sports in Hilliard where he implements screening, prevention, recovery and sports performance strategies for their athletes.
