Vincent Tammaro joined the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center as CFO and vice president for health sciences in August 2022.
He’s built a robust career and brings with him more than 26 previous years of knowledge, experience and an accomplished business record as a health care leader. He joined Ohio State from Yale New Haven Health, where he was executive vice president and chief financial officer and treasurer.
Vincent is an integral member of the Wexner Medical Center leadership team, overseeing finance, treasury, IT, data analytics, revenue cycle, supply chain, the OSU Health Plan and related areas. He’s responsible for financial and control activities across the Wexner Medical Center and supports the strategic and financial planning of the medical center, including long-range business planning and financial goal setting. Vincent manages short- and long-term operational and capital plans in support of our patient care, education and research missions.
Vincent joined Yale New Haven Health in 2002 and held a progression of expanded roles within its finance division through 2016, when he was named CFO. While there, he served as a strategic partner to the chief executive officer and provided executive leadership over all financial services including access, revenue cycle, payer relations, accounting, financial reporting, treasury, cash management and tax. He oversaw the transformation of a payer-innovation strategy that included heightened emphasis on value-based arrangements and alternative payment models with insurers and direct-to-employer strategies.
Prior to that, Vincent spent five years at Ernst & Young as a practicing certified public accountant serving a number of health care clients.
Vincent earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Pace University of New York, where he majored in public accounting. He’s a member of the American Hospital Association.
