I’ve always felt respected here. Getting thank-yous from patients and co-workers is something that’s never tiring, and I’ll never take it for granted.

Licensed audiology aide Maureen Richardson has been part of the Ohio State Health System for more than 20 years and still looks forward to learning new things, the variety in her role and the opportunity to work with appreciative patients.

“I feel blessed to get to come work in this new, beautiful building with the most caring people,” says Richardson, a calm and pleasant presence at Ohio State Outpatient Care Dublin. “Every day is different, and I love looking forward to being able to help in so many ways.”

Maureen enjoys helping patients set up and learn about their hearing devices, answer their questions and be a supportive voice on the phone or a contact person who can give suggestions or connect them with their audiologist.

“I love what I do, and over the years, I like to think of all the good people I’ve gotten to work with, all the patients who’ve come and gone and those who we look forward to serving — so many great people,” she says. “It’s been wonderful, and I’m so glad I took the chance years ago to work here.”

Maureen takes pride in working for a prestigious organization that helps so many people in so many ways, and has never felt overlooked or undervalued.

“I have always felt respected here,” she says. “Getting thank-yous from patients and co-workers is something that’s never tiring, and I’ll never take it for granted.”
