Cardiologist uses innovation to deliver highest quality care

I’m proud to work alongside such exceptional colleagues who always put the patients’ needs first.
Cardiologist Paul Moodispaw, MD, was inspired to begin his journey as a health care professional based upon his father’s history of heart disease. He quickly learned that he not only had a passion for caring for patients but also enjoyed helping teach future physicians through the education of medical students, residents and cardiovascular fellows.
A kind and intelligent provider and educator, Dr. Moodispaw says he appreciates being at an academic medical center like The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, where he practices at Ohio State Outpatient Care Dublin.
“Being here allows for continued learning and research opportunities as well as access to innovative clinical trials that advance our patient care,” says Dr. Moodispaw, an associate professor in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in The Ohio State University College of Medicine’s Department of Internal Medicine.
“I’m proud to work alongside such exceptional colleagues who always put the patients’ needs first.”
Dr. Moodispaw uses noninvasive methods to treat patients with a variety of cardiovascular conditions, including coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, congestive heart failure and abnormal cardiac rhythms. He regularly performs diagnostic tests, such as echocardiograms and nuclear stress tests.
He strives to engage patients to ensure they receive the best possible care.
“I’m passionate about patient education because I believe patients can better participate in their own care when they fully understand the diagnosis and treatment options,” he says.
