I love working at Dublin because I’m able to grow here. This place has become my home, and I love seeing all the familiar staff and patients every day.

Lead Pharmacy Technician Janale Banks, CPhT, says her proudest work moments come when she’s able to bring a smile to the face of a patient who’s picked up a prescription.

“Let’s face it, no one likes to take a bunch of medications. So, being able to brighten their mood is a good feeling,” says Banks, who works at Ohio State Outpatient Care Dublin.

Janale says she wanted to take on her role at an Ohio State outpatient pharmacy because it allows her to face new responsibilities, broaden her expertise with new systems and train incoming staff members. She feels passionate about helping to build a strong pharmacy team and taking care of patients.

“I love working at Dublin because I’m able to grow here,” she says. “This place has become my home, and I love seeing all the familiar staff and patients every day.”

It’s important to her that patients feel welcome at every visit, rather than like they’re just walking into another place of business. “I enjoy engaging with patients,” she says. “I’m able to get to know them and bond on a personal level, making it more than just another transaction.”
