New additions to MyChart feature a redesigned Ohio State MyHealth mobile app, expanded messaging functionality, test result trend graphs and more.

New mobile app design

The Ohio State MyHealth app was redesigned with you and those you care for in mind. We’ve made it easier to log in to MyChart and added more services and resources.

View immediate care wait times, get a price estimate as a guest, contact technical support, share your feedback and read the latest from our medical experts on Health & Discovery.

Manage your health care on a mobile device, anywhere and anytime using the MyHealth app. Existing users will need to re-enable Face ID and other login methods after installing the update, learn more about MyHealth settings.

With the Ohio State MyHealth app you can:

  • Discover innovation, research and science news from the experts at Ohio State.

Scheduling care online

You’ll notice the Schedule an Appointment options under Find Care have had a makeover. Now at-a-glance icons and descriptions help you select the right type of care. If you don’t see the service you’re looking for, please call or message us to schedule.

Medication reminders

Patients who fill their prescriptions at a pharmacy in an Ohio State Wexner Medical Center location will now receive reminders when it’s time to refill their medications. You’re also now able to view medication reference documents electronically. Visit Medications under My Record in MyChart to review your medication list or preferred pharmacies.

Compare your test results over time

The Test Results under My Record allows you to view or download your results and read comments from your care team.

This latest update provides a new option to view trends and compare your past and present test results by month, year or custom time period.

In addition, a status banner lets you know if your provider has reviewed your results yet.

Message drafts automatically saved

If you start typing a message and can’t finish it, don't worry. New Messages under Communication are automatically saved as drafts so you can return to them later without losing your work and send it when you’re ready.

Communications preferences

Did you know you can change how you get notifications from us? If you prefer an email for your billing statements, a text message for your appointment reminders, and a mobile push notification to prompt you to complete preregistration before your next visit, you can select what you receive by adjusting your settings in Communication Preferences using the mobile app or the website.

If you’ve sent an invitation to a family member or caregiver to access your medical information, you can choose to be notified when they confirm their Health Care Proxy relationship in Account Settings > Communication Preferences > Account Management > Access Updated.

Preparing for your visit

Before your visit, you’ll receive a notification to complete preregistration information online. This helps our care team be best prepared to serve you and helps you spend less time at the registration desk when you arrive. To change the delivery of your reminders, go to Account Settings > Communication Preferences > Appointments.

New! Keep special assistance needs on file with us, such as wheelchair, animal or caregiver assistance, and vision or hearing assistance. You’ll have the opportunity to select all that apply during online preregistration.

You don’t need to have a MyChart account to complete preregistration. If you have an email address on file with your provider’s office, you’ll receive a link to preregister for your upcoming visit.

About your care team

We’ve expanded the information available about your provider, including their location, gender and title. Go to View Care Team under Find Care to read more about your recent providers.
