Wexner Medical Center Gets High Marks

Oct. 23, 2014 - The Ohio State University's Wexner Medical Center just received some very significant recognition, placing third among all academic medical centers that make up the 104 school University Health-system Consortium (UHC). The Wexner Medical Center was also one of only 12 Academic Medical Centers to receive a 2014 Quality Leadership Award.

Maybe you missed the recent bit of news on the left. Even if you read it, it might not mean much to you. It should. It’s important. The Wexner Medical Center was just recognized for “superior performance in delivering high quality, safe, efficient, patient centered, and equitable patient care.”

Okay. Let's read that again:
Superior performance. High quality. Safe. Efficient. Patient Centered.

The Wexner Medical Center is the Midwest’s highest ranked hospital for safety and patient care. This is exactly what you want in a hospital. Safety first. This doesn’t happen by accident. Frankly, we work at it every day, executing to an overall strategic plan that enhances our #1 objective: Deliver the finest health care on earth. Period.
