Biography
I was born and raised in northeast Ohio and became interested in a career as a radiologist in high school when I met my first mentor, Carlos F. Peña. Dr. Peña showed me how enjoyable the practice of diagnostic imaging could be and convinced me of its merits as a medical specialty.
I earned my bachelor's degree in history, followed by an MD, both at The Ohio State University. I completed six years of post-graduate specialty training, including residency and fellowship at Cleveland Clinic. I taught and practiced for several years on staff at Cleveland Clinic and served three years as chief neuroradiologist of a private practice group in southern Nevada before returning to Ohio to join the faculty at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center in 2015.
I have also earned a master's degree in biblical and theological studies from Dallas Theological Seminary of Dallas, Texas. I have been married since 2000 and enjoy spending time with my wife and family, fly-fishing and reading.
