Biography

I'm a counseling psychologist, specializing in sport psychology and eating disorders. I take a practical, straightforward approach to care, taking the time to get to know the individual, gain an understanding of what kind of person they would like to be and then work with them to develop ways to cope with what may be troubling them. The ultimate goal is to have folks I work with begin to live a fuller and more intentional life.

Prior to becoming a psychologist, I was a gymnast for 18 years. Gymnasts learn at an early age that the sport requires a lot of discipline and goal-setting. Having that background has helped me see first-hand the sacrifices that athletes make, the conflicts that are created and the different ways that I can help them. Whether you’re an athlete or not, the same principles apply in helping individuals develop into the best person possible.
