Biography
As a dermatologist, I treat a variety of skin conditions including acne, psoriasis, eczema, and skin cancer. I also perform cosmetic procedures including botulinum toxin, dermal filler, lasers, and more! I believe in actively involving my patients in their care and considering their unique needs when formulating their individual care plans. I am passionate about providing the highest level of care to all my patients to improve their overall well-being.
My favorite part about working at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is the opportunity to collaborate with brilliant colleagues.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time outside with my husband, our children, and our lovable golden doodle, Bailey, and cheering on my favorite Ohio sports teams.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. Dr. Sopkovich was wonderful. She talked through the procedure with me, kept me informed as to what was going on, and showed genuine concern for my comfort and recovery.
I've have always have had a great experience with the doctor. A great bedside manner with her and her staff.
She told me I could ask questions or comment during exam. At one point she directed me to lean back and rest my head on the pillow. I hesitated for a second to ask could she look at a specific spot(which she asked me to do), and as soon as I started to ask, she immediately hushed me by repeating her directive. It seemed a little rude though I realize she has an exam to get through. It would also be nice if they gave you a little warning that they are going to pull your underwear down to exam as well. Meanwhile there is a third person standing rt there, which I also understand, but patients don't really like surprises of that nature.

She is the best. She found cancerous growths that others missed.
Dr. Sopkovich took the time to talk through dermatology questions I had after a cancer diagnosis this year. She made me feel heard, and I left feeling better educated about potential side effects from radiation treatment. She's a great doctor.
Always excellent, listens and states why and what to look for skin cancer. If any concerns on my part to call. Highly immune compromised.

I enjoyed my interaction with my doctor. She introduced herself and was respectful of my space (full derm exams can be a bit more personal than most doctor's appointments). She answered my questions and also joined in on some goofy small talk which I appreciated (it can help me feel more comfortable). The exam was not particularly rushed and she addressed concerns/non-issues with me as she came across them which was nice - while I want to hear about problems, knowing what is not a concern is also nice.
Provider was very friendly but ask questions and then went to work to analyze and define next steps for my skin issues with clear definintion.

I e gone to dr Sopkovich for several years and have always been very pleased. During my first appointment she diagnosed a skin cancer on my forehead. It had been looked at by two or three other physicians who said it was nothing. Dr Sopkovich felt it was something, biopsied it for confirmation andReferred Me for MOHS procedure.the entire staff were very friendly and knowledgeable

I have an appointment once a year for a skin check since I have had basal cell carcinoma so I'm very familiar with the routine. The checkup is very thorough and if I have any questions they are answered thoroughly.

Every experience with this provider has been excellent!
My care provider was the most rude doctor I have ever been to. She talked over me and gave me a diagnosis that she didn't even run tests for. She talked so loudly that I would assume everyone in the halls and next rooms could hear everything she was saying about my care. She changed my medication when I only asked for refills. I only saw her this one time because I had to change my appointment. This was the worst experience I have ever had at the doctor's office. I felt so attacked by her rudeness and attitude.
Dr. Sopkavitch is awesome. I've been seeing her for several years now and she answers all my questions and concerns. Never rushes me. She is the consumate professional that always provides me with exceptional customer service. In my book, she walks on water.

Dr. Sopkovich hands-down is the best dermatologist I have ever seen in the 35 years that I've been dealing with psoriasis. When I saw her several months ago and asked her for help. She was there to give me the utmost treatment for my psoriasis. She got the big guns out and gave me what I truly needed, and that was a biologic. Today I can eat because of the Skyrizi. I had and have psoriasis in my mouth. I have psoriasis in my hair, around my ears, elbows and Knees and the crack of my butt. Those areas are all healing so nicely. Dr. Sopkovich sat right next to me, made eye contact, explained everything. She is so wonderful. I can't tell you how wonderful. I can't tell you how she has changed my life. She has given me back my ability to go outside of the house and I am able to walk. And so many of my symptoms are gone. I love that woman because she has made my life so much better. She deserves a gold medal.

Courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. She has found skin care issues that I question other doctors finding.
The leading part of the conversation was to tell me that there was a cost of $50 for every minute if I wanted to talk about anything that wasn't covered by insurance. It was a very fast conversation, I felt intimidated that by asking about concerns on my face that I was being superficial, I came away feeling like I was wrong to ask - she treated two spots on my face provided minimum after care / suggestions nothing; on to the next 15-minute appointment.
