Biography
As a psychiatrist specializing in sports psychiatry, I enjoy helping current and former athletes develop and achieve their wellness goals. Athletics presents unique mental health challenges and there's no greater reward than helping patients achieve fulfillment within their sport and daily life. I currently work exclusively with Ohio State Sports Medicine and The Ohio State University Department of Athletics treating a variety of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety and OCD.
In my free time, I enjoy weightlifting, golf, and playing football and basketball with friends. I also enjoy playing guitar and spending time with my family and loved ones.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Dr. Norman has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
