Biography
I practice general obstetrics and gynecology. It’s a privilege to work with so many wonderful patients throughout their lives. I appreciate the opportunity to help them meet some of life’s greatest joys and challenges.
It's important to me to engage my patients in their care. Together, we can find health care approaches that best meet their individual needs. I enjoy accomplishing this while also maintaining best practices recommended by evidence-based medicine.
Working at Ohio State allows me to have immediate access to the latest updates, including medical practice and research. The best in primary and specialty care co-management is here.
Ohio State also allows us to maintain a connection with the bright, enthusiastic minds that are the next generation of outstanding health care providers.
When I'm not on the job, I enjoy relaxing with my family, reading and traveling.

Consulting and related relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Katherine Strafford has reported no relationships with companies or entities.

Always listens to my questions and provides good answers
Dr Stratford is one the better doctors at OSU. She listened to me and addressed my questions. If only all doctors at OSU treated patients like she does.
Took her time and did not rush, was compassionate and thorough, made sure I was comfortable with the plan of care
Best doctor ever. She took the time to explain what might be coming up as I enter perimenopause, to tell me what would be things to watch out for and to invite me to contact the office with any concerns. She also talked about when I might need more in-depth breast scans and scheduling pap smear. She makes me feel at ease and confident in the care I'm getting.
Excellent!!! Dr Strafford was kind, understanding & answered with explanations when needed on all my concerns with compassion.
