About Me
I am a dermatologist at Ohio State and I’m board certified in both dermatology and gynecology. I specialize in treating dermatologic disease in pregnancy, vulvar diseases and dermatologic surgery. I decided to pursue dermatology because I found in my general OB/GYN practice that many women were undertreated for skin disease in pregnancy. I also realized that women were inadequately treated for disabling vulvar diseases that had a negative impact on their lives.
In regard to patient care, I believe in developing collaborative relationships with patients where we work together as a team to create a treatment plan.
Working at Ohio State means I have the opportunity to collaborate with physicians in other specialties who have unique clinical and research interests. I also love teaching future physicians and dermatologists.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, son and dog. I also enjoy personal training, traveling, playing the violin and playing the piano.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. Ms Kelly Tyler has always been very upbeat & polite. She explains everything, asks if I have questions or if I need anything. She never makes me feel like she's in a rush to leave the room like some doctors do. I feel good about being about to talk to her, not like I'm holding her back from something. It's a big difference. Dr. Tyler froze a couple spots on my right ear that were precancerous. She looked me over fairly well and found not other concerns. We visited a couple minutes.

Well I found out I had basal cell carcinoma, so that wasn't good...but Dr Kelly communicated with me via My Chart within minutes of my getting the test results. Explained diagnosis and treatment plan.
