Biography
As an internal medicine physician, I provide high-level, compassionate care to hospitalized patients with an emphasis on setting them up for long-term success once they can go home. My philosophy of care is rooted in meeting patients where they are and helping them identify and reach their health and wellness goals. To better achieve this aim, I launched and now serve as director of the Inpatient Lifestyle Medicine Consults service within the Division of Hospital Medicine.
During my 16-plus years working in hospital medicine, I have seen how our environment influences our ability to lead a healthy life. My team and I partner with patients and their families to help them envision their future and accomplish their health goals through lifestyle modifications and medical management. We work collaboratively with each patient to leverage specific changes that work best for them and promote healing.
I love educating patients and families on the power of lifestyle change to prevent, treat, and occasionally reverse disease. Empowering patients to achieve their health goals is the most rewarding part of medicine for me.
