Biography

As a family medicine physician at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I treat patients with asthma, exercise induced asthma, athletic injuries, diabetes and hypertension. I also specialize in adolescent medicine and pediatrics, travel medicine, preconception care, contraception, medical education and health promotion. I think it’s important for patients to establish a relationship with a family physician they can trust.

I have a special interest in preventive medicine and vaccinations. I strongly promote preventive health with my patients in order to keep them from getting too sick in the first place. I believe that family medicine is the cornerstone of good healthcare. As family medicine physicians, we provide a basic service that everyone needs.

My favorite part about working at Ohio State is the opportunity to work with and teach medical students. It’s also a great location with good benefits.

When I’m not working, I enjoy traveling, cooking and spending time with my children.

Academics and research

I joined The Ohio State University's Department of Family and Community Medicine in November 2014 after having spent my first three years out of residency in private practice with the Licking Memorial Health System. I came back to OSU to be more involved in teaching and to work closer to where I live in New Albany.

I see patients exclusively at the Ohio State University Family Medicine office at Healthy New Albany, but I am also involved with medical student education, especially of third-year medical students during their family medicine clerkship. I serve as the unit director for family medicine in that role, and also help to facilitate third-year students during their small group learning. I am also the lead physician for medical student education here in New Albany.

I have a passion for preventive medicine, especially vaccinations. I have developed community education programs on vaccinations that I have given here in New Albany.

He answered all my questions and was concerned with my overall health.

  • Reviewed on Nov 04, 2025

I never got on the table. He did not listen to my heart. Apparently modern "wellness" visits are very different from the old school physical.
