About Me

I became a primary care physician because I am passionate about providing comprehensive and empathetic care to patients of all ages. I treat patients across the lifespan, from infancy through the elder years.

I appreciate the opportunity to develop long-lasting relationships with my patients, and I empower them to make the best medical decisions they can, to help them achieve their health and wellness goals. I work collaboratively with patients to create personalized treatment plans that align with their unique needs and values. I consider it a great honor to partner with my patients in this way.

In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I am an associate clinical professor of Internal Medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr Richards turned me onto a hopeful path and got me the treatment that I needed when I needed it. He did great at explaining my prognosis and helped me to understand the changes that would be necessary for me to make with my diagnosis. I cannot thank Dr Richards enough for the help and support that he gave me at the time that I needed it

My internal med doctor is on maternity leave and was offered an appointment with another doctor. I made the appointment because of some new neck and back pain, and also I had developed a sty down inside of my eye against the lower eyelid which was hurting. I felt he was rushing me and had little concern for my back and neck pain with nerve sensations running down my arm. I had to ask him to feel down my spine so that he could know where exactly the vertebra was that was hurting. He just didn't seem concerned and said he would put In an order for physical therapy, I had to stress that I've had severe osteoporosis with two compression fractures and any new back pain has to be checked out. He told me to get an x ray and was leaving the room when I had to stop him and remind him about my eye. He very quickly looked at it and told me to put a warm cloth on it and if it didn't get better to call and he quickly left. I proceeded to go directly to Upper Arlington to get an x ray and when I got there there wasn't even an x ray order put in. The registrar had to call and get them to put one in the system and she was really caring and amazing. I could have gotten better care from an urgent care visit. I've never had bad care from an OSU provider before. I couldn't believe it.

My care provider has excellent conversations with me about my health and any concerns I have. He clearly presents options for treatment and makes sure I understand likely outcomes. He is very friendly, know my health history, and caring.
