Biography
I am board certified in both internal medicine and pediatrics.
This means that I spend most of my time devoted to caring for whole families, across the age spectrum. I focus on preventive medicine, chronic disease management and coordination of care across the health system. Currently, I'm accepting newborns.
I’m most interested in quality improvement and improving the delivery of health care for everyone.
What I enjoy most about The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is working with colleagues in various specialties and providing care for whole families in one office.
I enjoy spending time with my two children and husband. I also like reading and spending time outdoors.

My clinical interests include providing primary care for whole families. I am able to manage patients across the age spectrum and effectively transitions pediatrics patients with chronic medical conditions to adult specialists. My clinical interests include preventative medicine and chronic disease management.
I am concerned with improving the quality of care that each patient receives in a patient-centered environment. I was involved in creating the care coordination program in our ambulatory sites which provides team based support for patients with multiple chronic illnesses. I am currently helping the general internal medicine clinics with their implementation of Comprehensive Primary Care Plus through the CMS.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

Communicates very promptly via my chart. Responded to my messages on my chart by asking if I could come to office same day. I did and we further decided on treatment and an urgent referral to a specialist which happens within 3 days.

Dr. Taj is the best physician I have ever worked with, just from every aspect. She always is very responsive even with just messages on the App. In the office she is thorough but quick with exams. She understands my family's history very well and is easy to talk to.
