Biography
As a general dermatology specialist, I treat patients with a wide variety of conditions like acne, warts, rashes, nail diseases, pigmentation disorders and skin cancers.
I want my patients to view me as a compassionate partner and reliable resource in their health care. I believe it’s important to educate patients about all of their options in order to provide the highest level of treatment possible.
As a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Medicine, it’s a privilege to return and help to train the next generation of physicians. I also enjoy collaborating with The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s talented team of dermatologists to provide innovative patient care.
In my free time, I enjoy spending family time with my husband and three children. I also love reading and creative crafting.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Dr. Malerich has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
Dr. Malerich is terrific with her pleasant manner, but thoroughly professional approach to dermatology. Makes every issue clear and concise, and treatments are clearly defined.
She answered my questions thoroughly and was very friendly and kind.

She was ready to answer my questions but it felt very rushed and a couple times she interrupted me before I finished my question because she assumed what I was going to say. Not in an unfriendly way but it felt like she was rushing to finish the appt.

I waited 1 1/2 years for this appt and she told me to buy CeraVe diabetic lotion for my dry skin. My visit with the DR. Lasted 10 min. She was pleasant, but in a hurry. I was the first appt after lunch, I believe.

This dermatologist is personable and takes time to listen. She solicits questions, as well, which is much appreciated. The only negative is that, in comparison with other dermatologists I've experienced, this one did not do as thorough of a full body skin check. I was sitting upright on the table and did not move from that position, so there was no way that some parts of my skin were observed or checked.
She's 100% excellent. Concise friendly knowledgeable and a great educator. Caring and added levity too. She's terrific!

Dr Malerich was so good. She was careful to explain every step of the procedure (removing and biopsying a blob on my face). She told me exactly what she was going to do, and why, and then guided me through as she carried out each step. She reassured me along the way, quietly conversing and letting me know that Novocain to the face usually made people's eyes water. I felt comforted being in her care.

I had heard good things about Dr M, but truly I was SHOCKED at how kind and thorough she was! Part of the reason why I switched dermatologists was because my last one didn't let me ask questions, and spent less than 2 minutes with me. Dr M was so kind, literally sat with me and said "okay, let's go head to toe and talk things out". She was amazing.
Dr. Malerich was excellent. She did the skin exam in sections so she uncovered body sections one at a time. She asked further questions during the exam as well as providing information about her findings. She provided excellent education throughout the visit.
