Biography
I specialize in treating patients with diabetes and other endocrine disorders, with an emphasis on the care and management of these conditions in the inpatient setting. I was inspired to pursue a career in medicine after my youngest brother was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes as a child, which prompted my interest in physiology and biology.
I am also passionate about helping to educate the next generation of physicians in my role as an assistant clinical professor of Internal Medicine in The Ohio State University College of Medicine. I am honored to have received an Excellence in Teaching Award from the Department of Internal Medicine.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Roger Harty has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
