Biography
As a sports medicine physician, I provide evidence-based, individualized care and take the time to get to know my patients and their unique conditions. I have found that educating individuals on their course of treatment and building confidence in the patient-physician relationship leads to the best outcomes. Because I’ve experienced several injuries throughout my own sports career, I’m better able to relate to what my patients are going through. I love seeing people improve and return to the activities that they love.
I enjoy working at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center because of the special camaraderie that is shared among my colleagues. I also enjoy the opportunity to work with the next generation of physicians through various stages in the learning process.
In my free time I enjoy going to local sports events, concerts, the Columbus Zoo, local breweries, watching movies and spending time with my family and friends.

Consulting and related relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

Dr. Albrechta is one of the kindest doctors that I have ever seen for treatments.
Dr. Albrechta was amazing. He listened to all of my concerns, then he examined my arm to see what was causing my problem. Then he explained in detail what needed to be done before my next visit.
I came over there with my girlfriend last summer to get Her hip replaced and The whole experience was 10 this is what made me decide to have my back checked out I am a very active person. ! I told them I wanted X-rays of my back and wanted to see them They just kept talking about getting me therapy to get me more range of motion. I told them I have no problem with range of motion.i can touch my toes so easy. It's not funny.they said the results would be My chart Well, I see no x-rays on my chart not unless I am missing it. I am very unhappy . When I was in my 20s, they told me I had bone wear down in the last couple joints,so I don't think it's gotten any better. I am very active working on houses and vehicles
