About Me

As a hepatologist at Ohio State, I specialize in treating patients with hepatitis, liver cirrhosis and other liver diseases. I believe in providing my patients with comprehensive and individualized care. My patient care philosophy is centered on honesty and education. I make sure to provide my patients with honest opinions and plenty of education on their conditions and treatment options.

I enjoy helping patients to manage their conditions and any day-to-day issues that arise as a result. It’s incredibly rewarding to have the opportunity to develop long-term relationships with my patients.

My favorite part about working here at Ohio State is really patient care. I spend the majority of my time working with patients and it’s the area where I find the most enjoyment.

When I’m not working, I like to spend time with my family and enjoying the outdoors.

Very professional, caring, sympathetic to your needs. Always willing to take his time to explain any medical problem or condition. The thing I look forward to with my appt., with Dr. Hanje is his smile and greeting when he walks in the examining room.

Dr. Hanje is truly an amazing physician. He literally put off a family commitment to see me AS A FIRST TIME PATIENT during a very serious, significant sickness I had this summer. His care for my illness, likewise, was effective and put me quickly on the path to recovery.
