In my role as a family nurse practitioner, I regularly treat patients for conditions including diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia and obesity. I provide preventive health care, including annual gynecologic exams during annual comprehensive physicals, and address patients’ acute needs via in person or telehealth visits.
My practice includes an emphasis on lifestyle medicine. I am passionate about sharing the power of plant-predominant nutrition, regular physical activity, restful sleep, healthy stress management practices, the importance of having a supportive community and the avoidance of toxic substances – all to prevent, treat and even reverse chronic diseases.
I strive to provide a support system for each patient and help them maintain sustainable lifestyle practices. When patients come to see me, they can trust that I will meet them where they are, offer customized treatment plans that will help them achieve their optimal state of health and well-being and that I’ll celebrate their successes.
When I am not working, I enjoy volunteering with other health care professionals and students of all disciplines at the Columbus Free Clinic, where I serve as a board member. I also enjoy gardening, plant-based cooking, teaching and taking classes at Barre3, and spending time with my husband and son.
