Biography
As a neurologist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I specialize in ALS and other complex and uncommon neuromuscular diseases. Because many of my patients have not heard of their disorders until they are personally diagnosed, I really enjoy helping them navigate through the process of understanding, treating and coping with these conditions.
I enjoy teaching and educating others about neuromuscular diseases. Part of my job consists of teaching and training medical students, and it is one of the reasons why I chose to work at an academic medical center.
In addition to educating students, my goal is to educate my patients about their neurological conditions. I believe this allows them to be an active participant and partner in the management of their health care needs and helps them to make informed decisions about their care.
I love working in Ohio State’s collegial atmosphere and with the other doctors here. I also enjoy the challenge of helping patients with a difficult diagnosis or condition.
In my free time, I like to snowboard, run, relax with my family and enjoy the outdoors.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Dr. Quick has reported no relationships with companies or entities.

Did not know history or condition well enough to answer questions or provide treatment. Left with just a referral to Exercise Is Medicine --- after last appointment where they sent me to PT, who concluded treatment after one session because I didn't need to be there (I exercise).
My expectations were met.
He is honest and helped me so much to know my SFN wouldn't probably get worse at my age.
Dr. Quick was very thorough and spent over an hour with me discussing my rather complex medical issues.

DR quick was very helpful and the staff got on my referral s to see different specialist for my alsy
Dr quick and Nick were very courteous kind and thorough and my exam. I could tell it was hard for them to tell my wife and I that I had ALS but they were very compassionate and helpful in talking to us about this new Journey that we are on
He's really nice and takes his time. Explains things well and is patient with questions.
Dr. Quick was excellent. He is very personable. He spent 55 minutes with me, listening to every word I said. He was able to give me a diagnosis immediately but is still concerned about other issues that do not fall within the diagnosis.
I have the highest regard for Dr. Adam Quick. Because I have a neurological condition that is difficult to diagnose, it is easy for a physician to take the easy path and just write down a "typical" diagnosis. Instead, Dr. Quick took the more difficult road and strove to be intellilectually curious. He decided to order more tests to better narrow down my infliction so that appropriate treatment could take place. He engaged in a lot of research on my past treatment BEFORE I EVEN HAD THIS FIRST VISIT, asked many probing questions and listened well. Sadly, not many doctors are like Dr. Quick! I am thrilled to have him as my doctor.
Dr. Quick was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about my issues.
