About Me

I am an endocrinologist specializing in diagnosing and treating metabolic bone and mineral disorders including osteoporosis, and Paget’s disease. I help patients manage diabetes, and I treat disorders affecting the thyroid, adrenal and pituitary glands. I also see patients in a dedicated Fragility Fractures Clinic every Friday here at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

My patients can rely on me for thorough and compassionate care. I work with patients to customize treatment plans that best suit their needs and goals.

In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I also help educate the next generation of physicians. I am a clinical assistant professor of Internal Medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.

My provider disregarded my questions, did not give solutions to problems, and was dismissive of my concerns.

Doctor was being very rude and huffing and puffing during appointment.

This provider talked down to me and make gestures insinuating I wasn't understanding what he was saying (i.e touching his head and saying "you have it in your mind" he did not listen to my concerns at all about trying to prevent my thyroid fromGetting worse. Didnt even think I have hashimotos when I have a formal diagnosis. I cried in my car for 30 minutes after this apt before I could drive back to work. This was the WORST experience ive ever had in all my 33 years going to a doctor. Infact I didn't even schedule a follow up, I just walked out. I told him I was tired of feeling crappy and started crying in my apt because I felt like he wasn't listening to a word I was saying. Told me I had to figure out what was wrong. He didn't even physically check my thyroid until AFTER I started crying. Will not be back to him ever.

    Very courteous but seemed hurried

He listened, seemed a little rushed towards the end

He was quite standoffish, as is the clinical nurse I messaged previously, Amy Zahniser. I voiced my concerns about some severe to me symptoms I think are related to the thyroid and he completely brushed them off as no concern. He said when I start having some 'convincing symptoms' I should let him know. All of my symptoms fall in the list of hypothyroid symptoms but he said thyroid is so non-specific my symptoms are absolutely caused by other things and couldn't possibly be the thyroid even though I was diagnosed with Hasimoto's thyroiditis. He came across as pretty unhelpful overall.
