About Me
I am a cardiologist and assistant professor of medicine at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
I earned my undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. I completed my internal medicine residency training at Duke University Medical Center before returning to Columbus to complete my cardiovascular diseases fellowship at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, where I also was selected to serve as chief cardiology fellow. I pursued a dedicated, additional year of advanced cardiac imaging training performing field-leading research and clinical work in cardiac magnetic resonance (MRI) and cardiac computed tomography (CT).
I have broad clinical and research interests focusing on general cardiology, valvular heart disease, coronary artery disease, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and cardiac imaging. I have published and presented extensively both nationally and internationally on these topics. I am particularly focused on patient-centric, equitable care to devise treatment plans that best align with each patient’s specific needs and values. I am also active in educating and mentoring the next generation of cardiologist and advanced cardiac imagers.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2024, Dr. Goyal has reported no relationships with companies or entities.

Good
This was my first appointment with Dr. Goyal and I was very impressed with his knowledge of my case. He was thorough and spent approximately 45 minutes discussing my case with me. He had an exemplary bedside manner which I greatly appreciated.
Very good listener. Familiar With my history. Gave me options for care.
First appointment with this doctor and first time to see a cardiologist.Very happy with this doctor he listened and explained everything easy to understand
He had researched my history in his specialty and was very prepared.
Good bedside manner
All great
Very nice
Dr Goyal actually listed and understood my frustration with my medication, symptoms, and over side effects I've been having. He did not judge me for how I was feeling, he took his time with me. He explained what and why my symptoms could have started and came up with a new plan that would hopefully help with some of my symptoms! It feels nice to have a cardo provider to actually listen and understand the frustration and not just tell you to continue what you've been doing for a almost 2 years with no changes.
Excellent. He reviewed my medical history and current medications in detail. Excellent with explaining the evaluations to determine the etiology of my medical condition.
Very professional and concerned about my health
Dr. GOYAL is very concerned for my heart, he explained in detail how, being on top of my health is important to my future. He did not rush, all my concerns were met. Dr. GOYAL was so easy to talk to. He was referred by my PCP and I am more than satisfied with Dr. GOYAL. Wouldn't change his care for me, he is 200%.
Very knowledgeable and understanding
Answer question I had and assured me of follow-up with test results
