Biography
I specialize in diagnosing and treating patients with neuromuscular disorders, conditions affecting the peripheral nerves and muscles. I commonly see patients for issues including myasthenia gravis, Guillain–Barré syndrome, and Charcot–Marie–Tooth disease (CMT).
I believe the most important thing a doctor can do is spend time listening to their patients. I enjoy getting to know each patient so I can customize a treatment plan that best aligns with their needs and focuses on what matters most to them.
I am involved in clinical and translational research focused on autoimmune neuromuscular disorders. I have a particular interest in neuromuscular disorders caused by the immune system, which are often challenging to diagnose and treat. My goal is to develop more advanced treatment options that lead to better outcomes for patients.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

Doctor gave unbelievable time trying to diagnose my issues even sending a communication through MyChart a couple days later saying he thought about my issues more and wants me to have a couple other tests ran. Very nice, concerned doctor.

While Dr. Morrison made an attempt to be professional, the smirking and smiling when discussing his disagreement with my external provider and the diagnosis made was disrespectful, unacceptable, and unprofessional. In addition, the comments made, specifically such as "someone told you that you have CIDP" are unacceptable in terms of medical professionalism. The right thing to say in a sensitive situation would be "another doctor may have diagnosed you with that condition, but I do not agree with that diagnosis". Disparaging a patient's doctor and the diagnosis made by that doctor is incredibly disrespectful towards the patient. If the doctor disagrees with the diagnosis, that is fine. Being unprofessional is was is not fine. If a doctor is frustrated with a patient's history or another doctor's opinion, that is understandable. However, It Is never acceptable to take out that frustration upon the patient.
