I am a Pittsburgh native brought to Columbus to fulfill my undergraduate and graduate education at The Ohio State University. During my time in school, I was involved in research focused on anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury prevention and enjoyed my time as a TA for advanced human anatomy which contributed to my passion in the field of orthopedics. I have a background in working with the outpatient orthopedic population since the start of my career in 2016. I enjoy working with patients of all populations and activity levels with special interest on working with young athletes in injury prevention and return to sport as well as the treatment of upper extremity and throwing athletes.

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Dr. Cayuela has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
