About Me
As a neurologist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I primarily specialize in caring for patients who have experienced an acute stroke. I also treat conditions that cause seizures, chronic headaches and dizziness. I am always caring and empathetic with everyone who comes to see me, and I tailor treatment plans to best align with each patient’s specific goals.
I am especially passionate about advancing teleneurology capabilities as a way to expand access to high-quality care to all patients regardless of physical location. I serve as the co-director of the Division of Teleneurology and Neurohospitalists, and helped create the teleneurology network that runs alongside our telestroke program.
I love teaching students and residents and opening them up to the possibilities of telemedicine, and my research has been focused on improving medical education for stroke care. I received two national education awards to study how high-fidelity stroke simulations impact performance in medical students and residents. I also serve as a clinical assistant professor of neurology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2024, Dr. Zha has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
