About Me

With dual board-certifications in Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine, I provide primary care services and I specialize in caring for patients with obesity. I am passionate about partnering with my patients to help them achieve their most optimal health and in helping them reach their weight loss goals safely. I have particular interests in preventive medicine, women’s health, nutrition and weight management, and the most common conditions I treat include high blood pressure, high cholesterol, type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, coronary artery disease, hypothyroidism, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), anxiety, depression, and binge eating disorder. My research is focused on obesity medicine.

As a clinician, I utilize a patient-centered approach and believe in developing strong, lasting relationships with the individuals I treat. When patients come to see me, they can expect compassion, respect and clinical excellence. My goal is always to work collaboratively with patients and their families to manage and optimize their physical health and overall well-being.

I’m excited to continue my career in the Division of General Internal Medicine at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. The team’s energy, passion and commitment to providing the best possible health care to the people of Ohio is inspiring and I’m proud to be part of it. I’m also passionate about helping to train future physicians in my role as an assistant professor at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. I have long enjoyed teaching and contributing to curriculum development. My experience includes helping to develop national-level curricula as a member of the Obesity Medicine Association Clinician in Training Education Committee, and I have lectured both regionally and nationally as an obesity medicine expert.

I am an avid hiker and yogi. When I’m not working, I enjoy traveling, mastering challenging trails and exploring new techniques on my yoga mat.

She was very therough including 2 tests I've never had before in all my doctor visits. BTW this was my first visit with Dr. Rhodes.

Assuming this portion is for Allison, I hope the character limit is high. This next statement is true: I have a better, more optimistic, outlook on my future health after meeting that woman, Her listening skills are off the chart. Period. She adapted her to care to my preferences in such a manner that I gained excitement about my future. She expressed a genuine interest in my well being and I hope to god she stays in Columbus and cares for me for the next 30 or so years I've got left on this rock. One visit and I can say she's the best doctor I've ever had. Honest. Thank you. Stay well and stay around.

Dr. Rhodes was BEYOND amazing and thorough and one of the best checkups I've ever had. She addressed all my needs and also brought to my attention other health concerns I needed to be aware of. I'm so happy to have as my PC

Dr.Rhodes displayed an excellent level of empathy, clinical skills, and professionalism towards me during my visit. She took the timeTo actively listen to me and my complex medical journey and was compassionate to me. She was action oriented to optimize my health but not without hearing me and my experiences and addressing all My concerns. I'mSo thankful I found a medical doctor that didn't treat me like a number but yet validated and saw me as a human being and treated and directed protocols to help me as an individual.
