Biography
I am a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in nephrology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I commonly care for patients with kidney diseases and those who have experienced kidney damage due to complications from diabetes (both types 1 and 2). I also treat acute kidney injuries and renal insufficiency.
Each case is different, and my patients can always rely on me for compassionate care that is tailored to their needs and goals. Before switching to nephrology, I spent nearly a decade as an inpatient nurse with the Solid Organ Transplant team at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center. Born and raised here in Columbus, it’s an honor to continue caring for patients in my hometown community.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and son.

Amanda Albert is my nurse practitioner. She takes time to listen to my concerns and answers all of my questions.
Amanda is amazing. I love the fact she is my care taker for my kidneys. She has a lovely caring way about her. I wouldn't want to work with anyone else!

She was very thorough and asked me a lot of questions and answered several from me as well. She really listened to me and understood my concerns and addressed them. She told me to call with any concerns or questions. She called a few days later with some additional information she got after talking to the head of nephrology about the complexities of my condition, just to be sure she didn't miss anything. I was very pleased with her attention to detail.
