About Me
I’m fortunate to treat patients at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center for Women’s Health, a multidisciplinary facility focused on providing care through every stage of a woman’s life. I provide women with the tools they need to live a healthy and productive life, specializing in primary and basic gynecological care for women ages 18 – 64. I also assist with endocrinology patients, focusing on thyroid disease and bone health. Currently, I’m in the process of obtaining a certificate for obesity management. When I see patients, my focus is to truly listen to them and provide the best individualized care.
My medical career started when I was a nurse for women’s health at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center. I had the privilege of providing care to a diverse population of women, but found that there was lack of primary care among most patients. During pregnancy, most of the women received quality prenatal care; however, many did not have a provider to follow up with for preventive health measures. I chose to specialize in primary care to work more with this population of women, so that they have access to personalized wellness and preventive care. My experience as a nurse taught me the benefits of therapeutic communication, prioritizing the physical, mental and emotional health of my patients, to better understand how I can best help these individuals.
At the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, I take pride in my roles on the Center for Women’s Health Continuing Medical Education planning committee and the anti-racism committee.
I’m an extremely active person who prefers to live life on the go. When I’m not at work, I enjoy trying new workouts, traveling and cooking new recipes for my family. In my spare time, I love to listen to medical podcasts to keep up to date with the latest medical advice for my patients and to continue growing as a provider.

Amy was very thorough in gathering a health history & making recommendations. I've been happy with prompt follow up via MyChart with labs & test results.
Amy is amazing and she is quick to respond with results.
I very much enjoyed meeting with Dr. Gariety and getting established with her as my primary care physician
All good.
Knows what she is doing very well.
Amy was awesome! She showed genuine compassion for my health& needs. She made sure I was taken care of very well & was very communicative on MyChart as well. I truly appreciate it & her! Congrats on the baby!
I am so happy I found this care provider and practice. I was unsure about seeing someone who wasn't an MD, but not anymore. I couldn't be more satisfied with my level of care.
Everyone was very helpful
Took so much time with me, very thorough and caring.
I'm am happy that I have selected Amy as my PCP - she already has exhibited great care toward me and my health concerns.
She was friendly and attentive
Amy Gariety was knowledgeable and personable. She explained some possible reasons for my problem and gave the the information to make a referral for services that may lessen my issues. I would see her a gain if I needed too.
She was knowledgeable, caring, offered top notch advice and took much time listening to me describe the adventures of the past medical issues.
The care provider was equally fantastic. I came to her as a new patient, wanting greater support in my health care. I feel that I have found that. I am relieved. She listened to my concerns, including me in decisions, and made be feel at ease. I would highly recommend this provider.
Amy was amazing as usual. listened to my issue, made suggestions on treatment that I felt were reasonable and gave me a timeline to follow up if my condition didn't improve
Excellent.
Great care.
She was very thorough, listened to me about my concerns. I didn't feel rushed at all. I was pleased with the results of my appointment.
great provider! very thorough
Amy Gariety is one of the best health care providers at OSU that I have experienced. She takes time with me during appointments to discuss any and all health concerns, and is very thorough. She always responds to health questions I have via mychart in a timely manner. I am completely satisfied with her care.
the checkup was thorough and I appreciated being asked if I wanted certain tests and exams
Excellent.
All excellent.
None. Great experience.
This was the first time I met Amy. I was scheduled for a surgery clearance visit and could not get in to see my regular doctor in the time frame I needed. Amy was very friendly, asked questions and listened to my answers. I was comfortable and pleased wth the care she gave me. I world not hesitate to go to her again for any future visits.
The provider listened to a concern I had about the medical equipment she was planning to use and offered to use something else to accommodate my concerns.
The appointment didn't feel rushed at all. Amy took my concerns seriously and took the time to explain things to me so that I understood. She made recommendations. And she followed up with me after the appointment via MyChart after consulting with an Endocrinology colleague. I appreciated her taking that extra step on my level. Overall, very satisfied w/the appointment/provider/care.
It felt rushed, i assume people are behind with COVID but i was re-establishing primary care and it felt like she was trying to be kind and friendly but not truly invested in building a relationship and getting to know my wellness outside of my physical health.
care provider was great
Very courteous and caring. Had positive feedback regarding recent health changes and challenges and was encouraging.
She was amazing! She listened to all my concerns with empathy and understanding. She was very clear and provided several suggestions to improve my health.
Does not always follow through with ordering tests.
She was very attentive to my concerns and answered all my questions.
Good - first time meeting as PCP. I feel like she took the time to listen to my history and had recommendations.
