About Me

As an orthopedic surgeon at Ohio State, I specialize in total joint replacement and reconstructive procedures of the hip and knee for problems caused by arthritis, trauma, developmental abnormalities and infection.

The goal of our comprehensive adult reconstructive surgery program is to deliver the very best care to our patients in a compassionate and timely fashion. I believe that the best care is delivered through a team approach. In addition to seeing me, my patients meet with nurses, physician's assistants and physical therapists.

I've had a lifelong interest not just in clinical practice, but also in education and research. Ohio State is among the largest and finest academic medical centers in the country. What I enjoy most about working at Ohio State is the opportunity to deliver optimum care to my patients.

When I have free time, I enjoy fly-fishing, restoring old muscle cars and golfing. I am a bicycling addict and try to ride my road bike whenever possible. My wife and I recently became empty nesters, as we've just sent our last college graduate off to a career in Chicago. However, my Old English Sheepdog and four cats continue to keep us company.

Dr. Glassman always makes me feel like I am his only patient that day. He did my 1st knee replacement many years ago. He is possibly my favorite doc I've ever had and I had a good PvP since 2001! He actually apologized for anymdiscomfort I may have while maneuvering me for an injection to my hip, injecting me and afterwards, checked on my comfort level more than once. I would say that his bedside manner is the best of anymdoctor, surgeon or otherwise. His personality is personable and likeable. His knowledge and skills are superior--- he did 2 total knees and a total hip. I feel as tho I have the best ortho person in the USA. I've heard him talk to fellows, assets, and schedulers, and he treats us all the same.

My experience with my provider was a very good experience. He listened, explained the problem, then showed me my x-rays and related his explanation to the x-ray. He provided a non-invasive approach to start with and scheduled a follow-up to see how our first approach is working. I am very satisfied.
