  • Neurology
  • Physician What's this? A physician, or doctor, is extensively trained to diagnose and treat complex medical problems. Often, physicians focus their practice on certain disease categories, treatment methods or patient types. Physicians can diagnose and treat illness, prescribe medication, offer medical consultation and advice, perform surgery and more.

About Me

I try to provide the best medical care possible to all my patients. I listen to patients and respond to their wishes and concerns in developing a treatment plan.

I specialize in stroke treatment. I became interested in stroke treatment as an intern when I mentored with a stroke neurologist. I’m also interested in the genetic and hereditary aspects of stroke.

I’m involved in a number of clinical trials that relate to stroke treatment and secondary prevention of stroke.

My favorite part about working at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is the intellectual stimulation of my colleagues.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, reading and watching movies.

Dr. Slivka is the best in the field, but you already know that. He went out of his way to see me. They changed the location he was seeing patients from Morehouse to Carepoint East, but didn't tel me. I went to Morehouse. He waited for me to drive to CPE get parked and in to his office then saw me.
