Biography
I am an Occupational Therapist at The Ohio State University Assistive Technology Center. I am an early career professional who joined the team from the inpatient rehabilitation setting, where I treated both orthopedic and neurologic patients. Currently, I hare my time between driver rehab and wheelchair clinic. I provide clinical and behind-the-wheel assessments for aging drivers and drivers who require adaptive equiptment. I also conduct wheelchair evaluations for power and manual mobility with skills in propulsion analysis, seating, and pressure mapping. I am passionate about supporting individuals with disabilities in living their lives as independently as possible, engaging in the activities they want and need to perform without the burden of discomfort or increased pain.

Consulting and related relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Andy Van has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
