Biography
I am a licensed clinical psychologist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I specialize in health psychology, with a focus on supporting individuals managing chronic illness, reproductive health concerns, and mood disorders such as depression and anxiety.
My patients can rely on me for empathetic, evidence-based care and open communication. I collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure each patient receives personalized psychological support that complements their overall medical care.
In addition to my clinical work, I am dedicated to teaching and mentoring future psychologists. I serve as an assistant clinical professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Dr. McVey has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
