About Me
I am a medical oncologist who specializes in the treatment of breast cancer and gastrointestinal malignancies like esophageal, pancreatic and colorectal cancers, as well as hepatocellular carcinoma.
My medical degree, residency and initial fellowship in medical oncology were completed in Ireland followed by a second fellowship in medical oncology at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland, where I focused on laboratory research and biomarker-driven phase I and II clinical trials.
I currently serve as an assistant professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at The Ohio State University and as section chief of the Gastrointestinal Medical Oncology Section. As a member of the Translational Therapeutics Program at the OSUCCC – James, my research interests include the development of biomarker-driven targeted therapies through clinical trials and translational research.
In 2012, I received the Marsha Rivkin Scientific Scholar Award for my work on proteomic biomarker development to treat relapsed ovarian cancer. I have also been published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute, Cancer Research, Clinical Cancer Research and the British Medical Journal.
I'm committed to providing individualized, multidisciplinary care for my patients by incorporating supportive treatments as well as the most up-to-date cancer therapies, including clinical trials. At the OSUCCC – James, we have the unique opportunity to access opinions from different cancer specialists and use the latest therapies to provide specific cancer care for each patient. Our collegial environment, cutting-edge science and united mission to end cancer make coming to work a privilege and an honor.

Dr. Noonan always explains things thoroughly so that I understand. She makes sure appointments scheduled fit my schedule. If I was able to answer all these questions with a 10 for phenomenal I would.Claire Jackman, who is over my clinical trial is, keeps me well informed. She is an invaluable member of the team.
Dr Noonan provides excellent care & always answers all my concerns

2 hours late
Dr. Noonan seems to be over worked. More patients that time.
Dr. Noonan is knowledgeable and takes her time with patients; my ONLY concern is the wait time to see her is awful. If she could please manager her time better.
I have to constantly follow up with dr./nurses to see what is going on. I don't get contacted when dr./nurse has completed a test/Rx order placed etc.
Dr. Noonan was very insightful and answered our questions thoroughly.
Have had great providers in med gastro _____ oncology dept. the provider (Anne Noonan) was good at stepping in for reg. doc. Dr. P. Malalur. She was caring efficient & got me in & out quick (Noonan).
Dr. Noonan is absolutely the best!! She always takes the time to not only explain and treat me, she also always takes the time to talk to me about personal life, she always shows she cares.
Very good.
