Biography
I am a board-certified family medicine physician at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I provide comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages, with a focus on preventive health, chronic disease management, and sleep medicine.
My patients can rely on me for attentive, compassionate care and open communication. I work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure each patient receives care that aligns with their health goals and values.
In addition to my clinical practice, I serve as a clinical assistant professor of Family Medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, where I am committed to mentoring future primary care physicians.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

Dr Tariq seemed very knowledgeable but did not seem to value the information that I shared with her directly because it did not correspond to the medical records she had available.
My doctor is awesome. She really cares about me and my overall well being. Always gives me good care and advice on how to improve. She's a 10 out of 10 in my opinion.

Nothing to complain about
Dr. Tariq is kind and respectful but did not seem to remember me (it's been over a year since we've spoken in person and I started seeing her in early 2023, so I don't really blame her.) Did not remember some key conversations we've had in the past regarding my medications and who is allowed to prescribe what. I'm sure the health system overworks her so I don't exactly blame her but it sort of also feels like I don't have a primary care doctor in the sense that only I remember any conversation we've had in the past.
The provider does not seem to care or listen
Dr. Tariq is awesome! Always expresses concern for my medical and mental health well-being. She spends the time needed to do her work until, I feel, she is satisfied that she has covered everything. My wife and I both enjoy our visits with Dr. Tariq.
I wish she would have provided more specific info about the materials I needed to purchase to wrap my ankle, and I wish she had said she was sending exercises for me to do - I didn't find them till a couple weeks later in MyChart. I also wish she had told me she was sending a prescription for 2 painkillers - I bought one at a drug store before learning about the prescriptions.

Dr Tariq was very very thorough and kind and gave detailed information about my new prescriptions. Her recommendations. I was thoroughly impressed with her bedside manner. She was absolutely refreshing.
Dr. Tariq is very nice, and respectful, she took her time to go over my concerns but she need to educate herself more on how to treat perimenopausal and menopausal women. I had to bring up new information about possible treatments for my issues that she admitted she was not aware of. Outside of that she took her to time address all of my concerns but has yet to complete my aftercare/discharge notes nor my lab results, nor did she tell a nurse to give me a shingles shot which we discussed during the visit.
