About Me
I chose to become a general surgeon because I am passionate about using my hands to make a difference in my patients’ lives. In my role at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I specialize in treating people who have sustained burns.
My extensive training in burn and surgical critical care allows me to provide care from the initial burn through the reconstruction phase. I’m proud to work alongside exceptional colleagues all focused on caring for the whole patient, which includes addressing their physical, mental and emotional needs.
In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I help educate future physicians as an assistant professor of Surgery in the Ohio State University College of Medicine. I regularly discuss my expertise in burn care at various conferences around the country. I am also a member of several professional organizations including the American Burn Association, The American College of Surgeons and The Association of Women Surgeons.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2024, Dr. Rodgers has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
