About Me

As a geriatric psychiatrist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I help patients manage conditions such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, depression and anxiety. I also specialize in treating neuropsychiatric symptoms that can occur in patients diagnosed with neurologic conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, Lewy body dementia, frontotemporal dementia and other major neurocognitive disorders.

I am passionate about integrating psychiatry, medicine and neurology to provide the best care possible for older adults who are experiencing complex psychiatric and neuropsychiatric disorders. I also practice a patient-centered and family-centered approach. My patients and their families can trust that I will work collaboratively with them to design a customized and comprehensive care plan. I enjoy building genuine relationships with my patients and I strive to prioritize my patients’ values in the treatment plans we develop together.

My role includes helping to train future providers. I work with medical students and resident physicians at the Ohio State Harding Hospital and at the neuropsychiatric clinic at our Olentangy location. I enjoy teaching, and it’s one of the reasons why I love working in academic medicine.

Consulting and Related Relationships

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

As of 09/30/2024, Dr. Subler has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
