As a pulmonologist and intensive care physician at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I enjoy providing excellent, evidence-based care to patients both in the hospital and in pulmonary clinic. In the clinic, I specialize in the care of patients with obstructive lung disease, particularly complex asthma. In the hospital, I help take care of patients who have been hospitalized with respiratory illnesses as well as those who are critically ill in the intensive care unit.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my wife and children, reading, writing, podcasting, playing classical piano, and endurance running.
Please note: Not all physicians schedule patients at each listed location.

At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

Very good gave me a diagnosis that nobody has even thought about in the last year of me fighting reoccurring pneumonia
Dr. Cooper asks and listens to answers to his questions. Makes me feel he is interested and computing all the info to ask next question. Would change nothing about he and his team. They all represent Ohio State Medical rxcellently.
Very informative at ease and concern for my health
Dr Cooper Is a terrific pulmonologist and I have great condolence in his support and care. I recognize that he has interns working for him too and appreciate that as well.
Excellent provider, professional and listened to me.
Provider very informative and kind
We really like Dr. Cooper. He is very personable but not as important as his medical expertise . He is very smart and qualified.
He is very comfortable to work with and very knowledgeable of my conditions
Did not feel he listened to my concerns
He was very interested in finding a solution to my lung problems. This was the first time I have seen him and I hope will find some answers.
Dr. Cooper was very thorough with his questions and desire to determine the root of my chronic cough. I appreciate that when an opening occurred in his schedule, he was able to see me and get me set up for blood work and breathing tests. I saw him this past Friday, had blood work completed after the visit and a breathing test on the next business day. Results are coming in but it's only been 2 days and he is still waiting for others to evaluate the situation.
Dr. Cooper has excellent patient relationships. He is very thoughtful nd very interested in solving the medical issue.
