Biography

I am a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in addiction medicine at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. My role includes evaluating patients for substance use disorders, administrating therapies to address withdrawal and collaborating with other services and providers to help facilitate treatment placement and ensure comprehensive care. I provide compassionate, evidence-based care that is free from stigma and judgment. When a patient is ready to seek help, I meet them where they are with respect, empathy and unwavering advocacy to ensure they receive the high-quality care they deserve.

Before transitioning to addiction medicine, I worked as a respiratory therapist, an emergency department nurse and then as a nurse practitioner in pulmonary medicine. Each of these roles gave me a deeper understanding of the challenges patients face, especially those with complex medical and psychosocial needs. Over time, I became increasingly aware of how patients with addictions are often misunderstood and underserved. This realization inspired me to shift my focus to addiction medicine, which has been one of the most meaningful decisions of my career. I appreciate the opportunity to serve as an advocate for my patients and to be part of a movement changing how we treat addiction within health care.

In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I am passionate about helping to educate the next generation of clinicians. I actively contribute to the development of future health care providers by serving as a preceptor for nurse practitioner students. I view this as an important responsibility and a meaningful way to support clinical education and mentorship in addiction medicine.
