Biography
I specialize in physical medicine and rehabilitation and sub-specialize in sports medicine. I am passionate about helping athletes of all levels recover from injury and return to the activities they love. In my role at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, I commonly treat patients for acute musculoskeletal injuries such as sprains and ligamentous injuries. Additionally, I address conditions including tendonitis (tendinopathy), osteoarthritis and back pain. I serve as one of the team physicians for Olentangy Liberty High School.
In addition to my clinical and sideline responsibilities, I am involved in efforts to improve patient care on a wider scale. I have co-authored book chapters, and I regularly present at national conferences. I’m a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine, and the Association of Academic Physiatrists, and other professional organizations.
I proudly help educate the next generation of physicians as a clinical assistant professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in the College of Medicine. I teach musculoskeletal ultrasound and assist with resident education.
Outside of work, I love practicing yoga, cycling, hiking and traveling. I’ve completed six marathons and now focus on training for half marathons and lifting. I also enjoy sewing, baking and spoiling my three dogs.

Consulting and related relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/3/2025, Breanna Benjamin has reported no relationships with companies or entities.

Very good and knowledgeable
Excellent care and expertise provided by Dr Benjamin and all staff
Both resident and physician did an excellent job asking questions and explaining things to me.
Dr Benjamin is wonderful. I referred my friend to her and she is now a patient of Dr. Benjamin.
Excellent care. She was not my normal provider for this matter but she is now. I will be coming back to her.
Using ultrasound to place cortisone shot was a huge help as I had a bad experience with that at another hospital who did not use ultrasound
Excellent
Dr Benjamin is the best! Very caring
A new Dr was working with Dr Benjamin. They were both kind during the exam and explained everything.

Dr Benjamin carefully explains my treatment options with X-rays
Excellent provider: amazing, actually. She did address and explain everything, and offered solutions to fix the issues at hand, with me, the patient, at the center of the care plan. She provided me with patient-centered care, 100%.
