About Me
As an Ob/Gyn physician, I’m very fortunate to have the ability to heal the sick and improve the lives of my patients. I care about delivering quality care and listening to my patients’ concerns. Over the years, I’ve met people from varying backgrounds and understand that each person deserves respect and guidance as they try to reach their health care goals.
Here are the ways I help patients the most: (1) helping restore health for patients who are sick or in pain, (2) helping patients have a healthy and safe experience in pregnancy, and watching families grow, (3) helping patients to gain control in times of transition, such as menopause, undesired fertility and desired pregnancy, (4) helping patients have a safe, healthy sexual relationship with their partner, and (5) helping patients maintain their health, stay safe, and avoid infections and cancer.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked with thousands of learners. My involvement in the Learning Communities (program director) and Applied Health Systems Science (lead coach) curricula has allowed me to guide medical students as they become physicians and in showing ways to improve health care. In addition, I teach a course on human sexuality and am a mentor for medical students interested in applying for Ob/Gyn residency.
Many of my research interests center on pregnancy. I received a grant from the CDC to assess changes in the immune system during pregnancy. Currently, I’m working on a research project that examines how the bacteria on a person’s skin may affect their pregnancy and mood. In addition, I’ve published multiple papers, and I received a Coca-Cola “Making a Difference” grant to help understand why pregnant women smoke. Outside of that research, I have published multiple articles on female sexual dysfunction and helped run an FDA trial for a new device. My interest in mentoring students has been relevant in my research as well. I have published papers regarding medical student and resident-physician professionalism, in addition to trying to improve the OB/GYN residency application process.
When I’m not at work, I spend time with my wife and four children, coach Little League football, baseball and basketball, and take it easy after having just completed a master’s degree in business administration. I also enjoy cooking, travel and movies.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 11/01/2020, Dr. Worly has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
Incredible provider - welcoming, thorough, and knowledgeable. He knew my history and was SO good at hearing my concerns. First doctor to do a breast exam on me - ever!! Just so impressed and at ease with the care he gave me.
Dr. Worly is an excellent care provider. He is the most consent-conscious doctor I have ever had, which is very reassuring for a gynecologist. I had many questions, and he always took the time to answer them thoroughly and knowledgeably. He responds very quickly to MyChart messages. When I had an earlier procedure scheduled that had to be cancelled due to an unrelated complication, he was very reassuring in an anxiety-provoking situation, and he personally followed up via phone twice afterwards. I moved to Ohio less than 2 years ago, and while it was very difficult leaving my previous physicians, I consider myself very lucky to have ended with Dr. Worly as my new doctor - he truly goes above and beyond.
I would recommend anyone to Dr Worly. he is professional and very personable. He is an exceptional provider!
Dr. Worly figured out how uncomfortable & uneasy I was about the entire procedure - why b/c I broke down & cried!! He was the only one in the room b/c Beatrice left - not sure why? You would think being a new patient she would have been around to console -
Dr. Worly is super kind, intelligent & always cities appropriate science in his answers & guidance. He's a great provider.
Care provider is the most respectful and helpful I have worked with
excellent
Dr. Worly listened to my concerns. During my examination and pap smear, he always told me what he was going to do next and asked if I was okay. Very, very, gentle and really respected me during the whole process.
All good, answered questions, helped me to understand I feel confident with his care.
Provider explained everything thoroughly and was very positive.
