About Me
As an osteopathic physician, I specialize in providing exceptional primary care at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I chose a career in medicine because I genuinely care about the health and well-being of each person who comes to see me.
I practice a whole-person, common sense approach that addresses each patient’s physical, mental and emotional needs to help them lead a higher quality of life. My patients can always rely on me for excellent communication as we work together to achieve their wellness goals. Previous experiences working in hospice and as a medical director for nursing facilities greatly influenced my approach as well, and my patients can expect compassion in every interaction.
In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I help educate future physicians in my role as a clinical assistant professor of Internal Medicine in the Ohio State College of Medicine. I am also a fellow in the American College of Osteopathic Internists.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband and our dogs. I enjoy cooking and being outside.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2024, Dr. Skinner has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
